Will my iPhone 14 Plus show an "Unknown Part" message after the new screen?
If the replacement isn't a genuine Apple display installed through Apple's process, yes — Settings > General > About will list the display as "Unknown Part". Apple states this doesn't affect your ability to use the phone. We'll tell you which part grade we're quoting so there are no surprises.
My iPhone 14 Plus screen is cracked but works — can I wait?
You can, but cracks in front glass usually spread, sharp edges can cut, and on an OLED panel like the iPhone 14 Plus's a crack can let pressure reach the panel and start black ink-like spots. If the image is perfect and touch works everywhere, a screen protector over the crack buys time; once you see lines or spots, the panel is damaged too.
Does a screen replacement affect True Tone on the iPhone 14 Plus?
It can. Apple's own guidance is that with a non-genuine display, True Tone might not work correctly and colours may look too warm or too cool. After fitting, check Settings > Display & Brightness for the True Tone switch and compare a white page with your old screen if you remember it.
Is the iPhone 14 Plus screen the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max screen?
